This is at the top of the silent comedy genre. Harold Lloyd masterfully conveys a plethora of emotion without the use of dialogue. The stunts and sight gags are usually very funny and also impressive, given that Lloyd performed most of the stunts himself. For those bored by silent films, give this a viewing. It has a laugh-a-second madcap pace and infectious energy that doesn't need sound to succeed. |
