The way they portrayed Astrid's life and her relationship with each foster home as well as the affect her mother had on her was amazing. It was interesting to see how her mother had an influence from such a great distance.

White Oleander

This movie is about a young girl called Astrid, who's mother is put in jail for murdering her husband with the poisonous flower, white oleander. So Astrid is put in varioust Foster families, changing with each family. She soon realizes that her mother isn't the great person she once thought, but the question is, is she willing to forgive her, as her mothers fate is in her hands...

I really enjoyed this movie, and it has quickly become one of my favourites. There is lots of irony in this movie, but I cried through most of it - it is really sad the things that Astrid had to go through. I strongly recommend you see it, if you are female (it is mostly a female based cast, so guys wouldn't relate)and I promise you will love it as much as I did!
