It's Ashley Judd in ANOTHER mystery/crime/thriller. It seems like thats all she does. This is the worst of her genre offerings. One big, fat cliche.

"Anyone who kisses me turns up dead”

An average mystery/thriller starring Ashley Judd as a tough-as-nails cop with skeletons in her closet who has just been promoted to detective. Not long after this she gets called into investigate a serial killing. Ironically, her father was troubled cop who killed her mother and then himself when she was a girl so it’s obvious this girl has serious issues.

Andy Garcia plays Judd's suspicious new partner and Samuel Jackson her mentor, one she needs badly once it is revealed that ex-lovers of hers are turning up dead all over the city with tell-tale cigarette burns and disfigurement. These men are mostly guys she has picked up at bars for unbridled, animalistic sex sex while under the influence of some serious red wine.
