Not only is this an interesting documentary about childlike drive and ambition, but it is thoroughly and endlessly entertaining. You wouldn't think a spelling bee could be exciting and funny, but this documentary is all that and more.

One of the finest Documentaries ever made. Its twee yes, but once the introductions are over and the spelling bee begins, it becomes as exciting and tense as any thriller. Watch it and be suprised.

Spellbound is a fun documentary that opens your eyes to the spelling Subculture. It also shows you a window into a childhood that involves parents who push their children too hard, and do not allow them to be kids. It is a very entertaining movie.
