Sidney Prescott (legendary played by Neve Campell), the main protagonist, is the typical young pretty high-school teen whose mother was murdered and raped and now the killer is after her, too! The movie starts off with a classic opening starring Drew Barrymore as an unsuspecting victim that the killer is playing games with over the phone. The movie is titled, "Scream," and if you think you're getting something other than a teen slasher, you're mistaken. This movie doesn't save the planet, it's only there to entertain, which it does better than any other horror film you'll see. No, it isn't the most frightening movie ever made, just the most fun. If you want terrifying slasher, go with the original "Halloween." Scream keeps all the tenets of the slasher genre: teens, serial killer on the loose, killer is unknown, killer has a unique look, and all the characters are stereotypes. On a deeper level, the genre …
