It's A Scream Baby!

Sidney Prescott (legendary played by Neve Campell), the main protagonist, is the typical young pretty high-school teen whose mother was murdered and raped and now the killer is after her, too! The movie starts off with a classic opening starring Drew Barrymore as an unsuspecting victim that the killer is playing games with over the phone. We are then introduced to several friends who are killed off one by one, by a masked killer with a very sharp knife. Whether it's Drew Barrymore's brief cameo or Matthew Lillard and Jamie Kennedy analyzing the rules of horror, so many moments are memorable and entertaining. David Arquette rocks as idiotic cop Dewey. Then there is Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox-Arqette) as the tough as nails reporter. This film is perfectly paced, cleverly written and figur...

Screams of Joy

Scream was one of the best horror movies I've ever seen.

Along with the story was realistic, well-rounded characters that had wonderful actors portraying them. Every time characters interacted, I felt I learned something new about each one. There were moments where I just fell in love with the characters on the screen. I couldn't wait to see what they would do next.

Finally, the music. I absolutely loved how the musi...

Reinvention of the wheel!!

Every once in a while a movie breaks the mold and redefines a genre, Scream is one such movie.

This isn't going to teach you anything new about life, broaden your horizons, or appeal to those of you looking for such. The movie is titled, "Scream," and if you think you're getting something other than a teen slasher, you're mistaken. This movie doesn't save the planet, it's only there to entertain, which it does better than any other horror film you'll see. No, it isn't the most frightening movie ever made, just the most fun. If you want terrifying slasher, go with the original "Halloween." Scream keeps all the tenets of the slasher genre: teens, serial killer on the loose, killer is unknown, killer has a unique look, and all the characters are stereotypes. On a deeper level, the genre ...
