In this raters opinion, a movie that makes you think, react, focus, have interpretations (2001: A Space Odyssey, Mulholland Drive, Vertigo, Persona, Inception, Tree of Life, The Fountain just to name a few) are the usual formulas of a great or cult movie. One of the most confusing and well symbolized neo-noir thrillers this reviewer has witnessed. Well paced rarely seen from from the director. The bizarre movie is about saxophonist Fred Madison (Bill Pullman), his wife Renee (Patricia Arquette), a mystery man (Robert Blake), an auto mechanic Pete Dayton (Balthazar Getty) and a gangster Mr. Eddy (Robert Loggia).
