"Fantasia" has the essence of Disney at its core. Charming stories with memorable characters set to music, it's the magical world of Disney summed up in one feature.

In the time where CGI or computers were present, this was purely crafted out of hard work. The animation, hand drawn, inked and sketched to perfection with skilled editing for the musical accompaniment. A landmark for animated films since the iconic figure holds the baton and manages the picture. Fantasia is a work of art which may not be for everyone, but is considered one of the landmark classics for this genre, even for Disney.

This is a fascinating blend of music and animation. For those who haven't seen it, it's a great introduction to a variety of influential composers, as well as an example of how music and art can blend so well together.

A lot of people are bored by this Disney offering. However, I find the blend of animation and music to be near perfect and though I might have once yawned, I now consider this one of the best Disney films.

The music of this one is great, and I enjoyed it. Mickey's presence is also nice. But, I still don't see why it was ever added to the AFI. See it if you need it for your Disney collection.
