Hilfs-Roboter

cinegeek.de - wrote on 03/07/2016

Very good animated Disney film

Gabe - wrote on 11/24/2014

I'll admit I was caught completely off-guard with this one. I had no idea this was going to be a superhero movie. Disney has done it again with this one. I don't know what is is about robots, but between this and Wall-E, animation studios are able to make them seem more human than the "real" people. I also was caught off-guard by who the villain is, my wife was not however.

But this is a highly entertaining film about a boys love for his brother and his robot. And man, does this boy have it rough. Parents...dead. Brother...dead. He has nothing except his brother's friends and his brother's robot, Baymax. Baymax's entire being is built up on helping people, while Hiro only wants to avenge his brother's death...and get who stole his big idea. It takes some twist and even keeps …

Baymax: "Hello, I am Baymax".

Baymax has to be the most adorable and coolest Disney character I've seen in a while.

The story is about San Fransokyo being under attack - but robotics expert Hiro Hamada, with his robot Baymax, will team up with some reluctant, novice crime fighters in order to save the city.

Just like every year Disney always brings out films that are mostly good or adorable, and a long comes Big Hero 6 and this movie is on the level of adorable, but not that close to brilliant.

The animation in this movie was so colorful and so gorgeous to look at that my eyes couldn't get enough of it. The character's were funny and pretty awesome, even Baymax which has to be the most adorable and the most lovable character I've seen on the big screen. The action scenes were really well shot and enjoyable …

Big Hero 6 review

Hiro is a smart kid who enjoys swindling bot fighters. Tadashi shows his brother Baymax, a marshmallow-like robot who aids you when in trouble. The trailer honestly didn't feel it was interesting. Once you view this from the very beginning you get engaged with the story-line of the brothers, Baymax and Tadashi's buddies. It would have been nice how San Fransokyo and the timeframe have been shown. Its a delight to see the graphics, gadgets and visuals of the picture. Humor was spot-on even for adults and the darkness of 2 characters were well portrayed. Upon seeing the painting of Fred's dad this reviewer have immediately spotted Stan Lee. Watch the after trailer to see what I mean. Overall, this has promise in terms of being a huge franchise. Those who brought you Wreck-it …

Domo Arigato, Baymax

Pixar has done superheroes before with one of my personal favorites in the animated field: The Incredibles. Now Disney tries their hand - but since this one is based on an existing brand (from Marvel, no less), despite having some incredible visuals and some fine vocal talent, I can't help but feel Big Hero 6 is just yet another original story - a very colorful and enjoyable one - but, in the end, nothing really special.

We start with Hiro Hamada - a child prodigy with and emphasis in robotics. While he older brother, Tadashi is putting his talents to good use at college, Hiro is more interested in underground (and illegal) robot fights. But after landing in jail, his brother takes him on a short tour of the university, where his is introduced to his group of "nerd" friends: Wasabi, …

Funny, Lovable but Not Original

They just keep coming. . .

Super heroes are every where. They’re at Wal-mart, they’re in your homes and they’re especially prevalent in your local cinema. Every time I say to myself, “Maybe it’ll be a while before another hero flick comes out,” another one magically appears in theaters as if it was custom designed to annoy me specifically. I am going trough some hardcore Marvel and super hero fatigue, and have been sense 2009, so if you’re looking for a review of Big Hero Six from someone whose opinion is objective; go elsewhere.

And to clarify: Big Hero Six is not a Disney movie, it’s a Marvel movie. Yes it technically flies under the Disney banner, and its visual style is similar to recent Disney animation productions like Frozen, but that’s pretty much …
