At Any Price review

A drama that focuses on the father and son relationship of the Whipple's (Henry played by Dennis Quaid and Dean by Zac Efron). The female support was average since their roles were pretty minor, We get a solid performance from Quaid and an earnest portrayal from Efron. Cinematography was gorgeous but the direction/screenplay seems scattered. A mentioned by a fellow member, it gets darker and darker. Highlights were the accidental death (which for this critic marked the wake-up call for them to get closer to each other) and race of Dean. The rest seems to lack certain intensity and likability. Efron has grown as an actor and gives a multi-layered performance, as the equally driven Dean, who wants more than anything to become a stock car d...
