Note to Tyler Durden: You seem to have discovered that nihilistic self-destruction and corporate vengeance lead to a dead end. So you know what takes more courage than bashing in your own and others' faces and pissing in the soup of the affluent? COURAGEOUSly molding and protecting your sons and daughters with integrity, refusing to let them become the next fatherless generation and showing them a hope beyond home decor and testicular cancer support groups.

The film tends to be a bit cheesy, dragging, overlong and preachy. Performances were sincere and messages were heartfelt. Its screenplay was sensational: Adam Mitchell – “Losing someone is like losing a limb…eventually it will heal, but it will never be the same.” “I don't feel like I started well. I want to finish well.” Themes of honesty, coping with death, sacrifice, forgiveness, faith, prayers, family, fatherhood and integrity were represented. Courageous is a film with multiple stories that mixes a bit of humor and dramatic scenes that entertains because of the excellent character development.
