Dr Archaleta (Fisher Stevens) tries to select people to be in an experiment for $14,000. The experiment stops when violence is committed (though several cases of violence were shown and no red light). A pair of distinct individuals share a conversation namely Travis (Adrien Brody) and Michael Barris (Forest Whitaker). The light plot, lackluster ending and some ludicrous scenes were evident (namely the act of violent caught by the camera's and yet without stopping). Performances from Whitaker and Brody were captivating while the camera work excellent. The Experiment is a distinct thriller which tests one's capacity to abuse power, loose your morals in typical situations and be violent when necessary. |

An absolute extreme and tense movie.Directed by Paul Scheuring and starring Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker and Maggie Grace, about an experiment which resembles Philip Zimbardo's Stanford prison experiment in 1971.The film is a remake of the 2001 German film Das Experiment, which was directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel.Great and genius performance by Forrest Withaker. |
