This movie is like if 300 got all the goodness and bad-ass scenes sucked out. Therese something about Tarsem Singh movies that I don't like. He knows how to make a movie look good but at the same time he makes it look too colorful and clean. The visual's effect's in the movie looked faked and the acting is dreadful. I couldn't understand what mickey Rourke was saying in this movie, did he took acting lessons from Stallone or something.

Theseus (Henry Cavill) is a mortal chosen by Zeus to fight evil. Zeus (Luke Evans), meets with his fellow Gods Athena (Isabel Lucas), Poseidon (Kellan Lutz), Ares (Daniel Sharman), Apollo (Corey Sevier), and Heracles (Steve Byers) to inform them not to interfere with human activities. Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) is in search for a powerful bow. The overloaded characters and screenplay made the story difficult to comprehend and at times dull. On the positive aspect, the special effects, cinematography, score, sincere performances and action sequences were riveting. Immortals is a descent action fantasy much similar to 300 and Clash of the Titans, whose flaws fall under the storytelling compartment and better character development.

An interesting story about Greek mythology and the story of Theseus. If you don't expect the movie to follow actual mythology, some facts are definitely wrong, you can really enjoy this movie. Good story, great graphics, and the slow motion fight scenes that were also showcased in the movie 300. The action is great, keeps you entertained throughout the entire movie. This movie may be one that will soon be forgotten, but it is worth the money to see it in the theater, and when it comes out on blu-ray. I enjoyed this movie, and it is currently in my top 10 of 2011. Worth seeing.

In the vein of '300', this movie offers up some fantastic visuals and cool blood soaked battles. However, the rest of the film is average at best.
