Fast Five

You can see the "F&F" franchise as a car. In the first movie it is running good. Then the fuel begins to be consumed(2F2F) and it starts to vanish(F&FTD). So what do you do when you have no more fuel? You go refill it! (F&F4) and then the car starts running again.

I think after the third movie we all were sick of these street races, to be honest: that franchise was dead. The fourth part gave some more "power", Vin Diesel back, but still there was no entertainment here. Then someone had this brilliant idea to turn "Fast and Furious" cars into a "Fast and Furious" heist. Perfect!
This movie gave F&F new power. A new bad guy: The Rock. Who is chasing the crew not only with street races, but normal, as a cop.
Of course there were a lot of car´stunts in this movie, but the cars were …

Testosterone Fueled Fun

It is very rare that a movie is saved by a single sequence, but Fast Five would only be a tolerable action movie if it weren’t for the safe scenes.

The movie is a fairly cliché heist movie. That is necessarily a bad thing, but unlike other cliché heist flicks like Oceans Eleven the movie doesn’t do much in the way of character and style to set it’s self apart from the rest. It doesn’t help that the acting is mediocre as well, and that The Rock looks like he was waxed along with the fancy cars before each scene.

The action sequences are really what put this movie above others. They are directed expertly in a way which creates tension and excitement. They also are able to come up with some entertainingly over the top action sequences to match.

Sadly I wasn’t …

FAST FIVE REVIEW

I truly loved this film.the only problem i had with it was that it was really slow and a little bit too long, but I can deal with it.cause this movie proved to me that it's not just mindless drag racing.this film deals with the characters and also deals with the emotions they are going through in powerful ways, now that's never seen in the other fast and the furious films.I truly loved this films.it was a heist and I thought it was a a cever one at that.all these characters feel real and loveable.director Justin Lin does it again, bringing us yet another sequel to the amazing series.I would recommend this one,if you didn't like any of the others, you will have to love this one,it doesn't even feel like it's apart of the series,it feels like it's apart of it's own perfect hiest film.Vin …

A Car Show, Indeed!

Set in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker), Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) team up with other six racers to get their job done once again.

Action! This is one thing that I like on this fast and furious movies which makes me wanting to see more and more. Undoubtedly, this movie has the best picture of car actions. However, its story, just like previous fast and furious movies, isn't good enough to finish a track. It isn't boring because of the actions, but once they just sit or stand there -any scene with no cars- it's an off for sure. The actors delivered just right except Paul Walker and his untimely smiles, I don't know but he had those smiles which are really like "i don't get you man".

Brian O'Conner and ex-con Dominic Toretto are back. Fast and the Furious meets Ocean 11 and a touch of Expendables. There were a few scenes that made me cringe because of a few were improbable: jumping from a roof unharmed, dragging a vault with no scratches on the streets, etc. Other than that, I was entertained by the stunts, and the usual gorgeous ladies and flashy cars. At least the plot was good, a few characters were entertaining. Typical action film with a touch of humor and drama which never really emphasized the title since they were more than 5. The Rock’s acting seems to be improving but Vin Diesel just isn’t equipped for drama in my opinion. They really went all out on this, bet they spent a lot because of the effects and cars destroyed. Overall, Fast 5 was …

Fast Five Channels Oceans Vibe with a Nitrous Kick

Chris Kavan - wrote on 05/01/2011

Fast Five is a bit different than the other entries into this series. Sure, there are still fast cars and chases, but this has a definite Oceans 11 vibe to it being that they manage to wrangle just about every good character from previous films to create a the "ultimate" team of hackers, muscle and drivers in order to pull off an elaborate heist.

Seeing the old faces is good - while the second movie was kind of a bust for me, Tyrese and Ludacris were both welcome additions to the ensemble as were Sung Kang and Gal Godot. Each one brought just enough to the table to distinguish themselves even if their screen time had to split. Plus, the hallmark of any good ensemble cast - everyone looked like they were having a good time.

The newcomers were also welcome - here's the role Dwayne …
