A pair of "good cop bad cop" police officers are put in charge of protecting a witness while at the same time on a drug bust trail. This movie was funny and cool.

*sigh* This is exactly what you'd expect from a Michael Bay/Will Smith combo. Car chases, explosions, weak one-liners, slo-mo shots of a bare-chested Smith shooting stereotypical bad guys etc etc. The greatest mystery to me is how on Earth the thoroughly unlikeable and criminally unfunny Martin Lawrence ever became a star??

Buddy action comedy that's just an exercise in stylized violence and unfunny material.

While the chemistry and dialog between Smith and Lawrence is entertaining, the film's plot is cookie cutter at best and that ultimately weighs the movie down and makes it a little boring. Oh yeah, and, like in any good Michael Bay film, lots of stuff blows up.

It's not a horrible movie. But, I just don't think it was worthy of a sequel.

I was surprised at how entertaining and funny this was. I did not see it until just recently but was very pleasantly surprised at how well this was. The duo of Will Smith and Martin Lawarence are great and the story was very good as well. The only downside is that Tea Leoni can play an annoying nuisance very well and she was good at that in this one.

This is a good action flick with lots of laughs. Love Smith and Lawrence. Leoni is a little annoying but not so much that she ruins the film.

On the surface this appears to be another explosion-filled testosterone fest, but the characters give this an edge over other films of this type. Will Smith balances out Martin Lawrence and they make a good team.
