Dr. Emma Lloyd (Uma Thurman) is a love adviser in radio who falls for a New York fireman named Patrick Sullivan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). The ideal partner Richard (Colin Firth) plans of marrying Emma but notices some hindrances along the way. Patrick admits after a period of time which I found ludicrous when he had all the time before Dr. Lloyd tied the knot. The screenplay was alright and soundtrack was not that interesting. Had a few humorous moments but the coyness of the relationship of Emma and Patrick just didn't make it for me. The Accidental Husband is a decent watch but not really impressive in terms of romantic comedies go.

I must say it's a bit refreshing to see 40'ish actors doing romcoms once again since we all know age comes with experience. Uma thurman looks like she still has it and that's why I think her presence in this film is worth mentioning. Jeffrey Dean the comedian is quite a surprise because I never would have thought he's a likeable guy after becoming the most hated Watchmen. It's no new formula for romcoms but then I guess even the old one still works. So it's reasonably fitting to turnoff the brain every once in a while and just sit back and relax on this one cause believe me it's worth it.
