A great remake. I haven't seen the original, but I seriously doubt it's as good as this one.

Action: 3/3 + Comedy: 1/2 + Good vs Evil: 1/1 + Love/Sex: 1/1 + Special Effects: 1/1 + Plot: 0.5/1 + Music: 1/1 = 8.5/10 or 85%. This is an undeniable piece of guilty pleasure within cinema. While it is developing and bringing you into it's reality you can sense that it could go to Suck-ville at any moment. Praises to Bale and Crowe for bringing more than an A-game though, they are delicious as polar opposite western warriors. Everyhting within this is good genuine fun!

As modern westerns go, this is one of better ones. Crowe and Bale are perfectly cast and Peter Fonda is a welcome addition. It's dark, but shows its heart at times - all-around winner.

I have never been a huge fan of westerns but i absoultely loved this movie. Knowing i am not a western fan and finding this movie great proves to me that it is close to a masterpiece

Russell Crowe is a very bad man in that classic, likeable Long John Silver kind of way. A gritty flick, the way a Western should be.
