Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory review

"OOMPA LOOMPA DOOMPADEE DAH. IF YOU'RE NOT GREEDY YOU WILL GO FAR YOU WILL LIVE IN HAPPINESS TOO." Obviously one of the most entertaining, smart and creative musical dark comedies cult film created. Charlie Bucket is a poor boy who dreams of acquiring a Golden Ticket hidden inside the Wonka Bars. There are 4 children announced as bearers of the ticket namely a hefty German kid named Augustus; Veruca Salt a demanding English girl, gum eating Violet and Mike.
Obviously has one of the catchiest soundtracks onscreen. Performances were believable and astounding especially Wilder. Despite a slow start and dated effects, the impressive set pieces and provocative screenplay compensates it. So many quotable lines: “Time is a precious thing. Never waste it.” “I had to test you, …

I loved Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory far before I read the book. Although the book is different from the movie, I still enjoyed the movie.
The story is different from the book, but for the most part, it's accurate. Everything worked together really well, putting together a wonderful and imaginative world that made the movie amazing. The colorful atmosphere and ideas that the movie had were shown greatly through the story, which was just as great as the scenes it was built around.
The characters were portrayed wonderfully, but they weren't as accurate to the book as I would've liked, but the characters were realistic and just as great as the book version was. The actors in the movie did very well making the characters seem realistic. I loved every moment of the movie where …

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was a movie that I relate very closely to my childhood. This is because in grade school when the teachers ran out of ideas and decided they needed a break they would set up a "movie time" and the majority of them would pick this movie for us to watch. While some might argue that it was because it teaches good morals in a very unusual way, I would tend to believe that it a was more or less the only movie they had at the school, and its probably because it fell out of some kids back pack and they never claimed it at the lost and found.
Gene Wilder puts on one of the best performances in this movie, while a lot of the movie doesn't take directly from the book, it does cover all of the key components and make sure that it stays as true to the idea that …
