Plot: Set in 1981, South Africa's Apartheid regime has compulsory military service for all white males over 16 as they fight a conflict on the Angolan border. Nicholas is one such soldier - one who holds his own secret because it's not only the black threat the regime seeks to root out, but anything they determine is deviant, which includes homosexuality. -- Chris Kavan
