Plot: The story of Debbie Peagler - abused by her drug-dealing boyfriend, forced into prostitution and fearing worse for her daughters, she decided to fight back. When it results in the death of her boyfriend, she takes a plea and gets 25 year behind bars. When a law is passed two decades later, allowing the revisiting of trials where evidence of physical abuse was withheld, two rookie lawyers take Peagler's case pro-bono and expose the "justice" system responsible for her life behind bars. -- Chris Kavan
