While undeniably an acquired taste (they don't call them 'cult classics' for nothing), Robin Hardy's 'The Wicker Man' achieves with so little what mainstream horrors fail at with so much: to unnerve you.
Note: Though the theatrical cut is tighter, the footage of the director's cut provides a much clearer picture of the protagonist's emotional journey.
