Braveheart (1995)

A grand epic with only a few problems.

A grand epic and a good one. Well done battle scenes with a great performance by Patrick McGoohan. Most of the other performances are fine his is just the best. It has good scenery and I liked how it gave out the interesting strategies used by Wallace that helped him win. It is not perfect though because of some historical inaccuracy that bothers some more than others. The other problem is Mel Gibson does stick out like a sore thumb in the film. I think it would have been better if he was just the director and cast someone else in the leading role. I mean he is okay but the lead could have been better, mostly just because he just does not look from that time period he really has the same problem in the Patriot but at least there he does not use and accent.

Pros: Well done action sequences, and you are given ideas of the special strategies by the Scottish army. Patrick Mcgoohan is great.

Cons: Nothing great about the dialogue. Mostly stock characters ,and Mel Gibson really miscast himself in the lead he just does not fit in.
