Untraceable

Interesting Idea but Unfocused

The trailers looked really exciting but an hour into the movie, I just wanted it to end. There were instances when I wondered where the film was going as I let out a big sigh of exhaustion. But that doesn't mean this movie doesn't have interesting plot points. I did like the idea behind this vehicle: the more people log into the website, the faster a person dies. A lot of people so easily label this as hypocritical but I didn't really care as long as I was entertained. Going into the movie, I didn't expect to learn anything new. I was well aware that people crave violence and it will probably stay that way for years to come. If they made this movie into an eighty minute film, it would've been a lot focused. Or if the filmmakers had made this into a procedural film, it would've been much more interesting. This was a hit-and-miss for me.
