Good Action! *Explain to me the story, please.

A former hunter fails to save his long-time mentor, he then finds himself doing something he thought he forgotten.

Honestly speaking, I don't get the story. ***SPOILER ALERT*** So Jason Statham has been set-up right? How?

Anyway, this was really action-packed film, a good one. I don't like seeing so much blood in films, but this one is really good in action plus I can't resist not watching Robert De Niro; I'm satisfied on his not-so-little contribution on action scenes.

Again, I love the action but I don't get the story. (Can someone enlighten me?)
