Transformers are cool again

Fantastic. This seemed like a horrible idea, taking a cheesy anime geared at children from the 80's and turning it into a live action blockbuster for adults 20 years later. But it was genius. All those kids who had grown up with it and were now adults not only got to relive a bit of their childhood through it but also experiance something new in the franchise they used to love. I believe this movie has started a trend (unfortunately it will probably be a bad one) of animated 80's tv shows being turned into high budget movies. But the reason for this is because this one was go good. Shia LeBouf was excellent in his role and the fact that they brought back the voice of megatron (at least in the american version) was excellent. This movie single handedly made transformers cool again, a feat I didn't think possible. The story was great and well thought out, the CGI was excellent. Special points should be given to the acting in this one since so much of the interactions and action scenes had to be done with CGI the actors really had to give it their all and they did. Also, more special props for staying true to the tranforming noise.
