Happily N'Ever After

Horribly disappointed.

This movie killed me. As an animator I can tell you that this movie was one that I practically walked out of, but didn't simply because I was there with 2 other animator friends that were dying as badly as I was when watching this. The story could have been very good, the dialog was horrible. The repetitiveness of many of the same things "I can't do this I'm not a prince...." was said every 15 to 20 seconds. Unfortunately this movie talked down to its audience, the animation was flawed in a number of areas, and there were problems with many of the textures and lights. If this movie had been made by a couple students at a college trying to get their start I would have said that it was decent, but considering the team of people they had to create this movie I was really disgusted by the lack of performance. The only characters worth paying attention to were voiced by Wallace Shawn (and he has a minor role, as a warthog type character) and George Carlin (who was in the movie for all of about 15 seconds).
If you are interested in getting into animation, this movie should be used by all classes as "how not to make a feature film". I honestly couldn't find any value behind it.
