Bad movie, waste of time.

Lawrence Fishburne, Orlando Jones, Lisa Bonet, and Kid Rock. It sounds like a reasonable line up for a film... but there was really nothing that could be done to save this movie. the film tries to be like two car racing films from 2001: Driven, and The Fast & The Furious. Driven, which wasn't a great film by any means, but I found it to be likable. The Fast & The Furious was a fun, exciting film to watch. But Biker Boyz tries hard to be like both films. In the end, the concept just doesn't work very well.
The direction is the best thing and that's only so-so. Scenes don't always flow together too well, I suspect the studio cut it for length. The bikes don't seem to exist at all in this film, which is so unrealistic. Bikers LOVE their bikes, and any film claiming to offer any insight into Biker culture has to at least focus on them to some degree. I dont remember anyone talking up their machine once. Likewise the races were drag races - not a corner in sight. Yawn, what does that prove? Not a damn thing other than you have a bigger motor / got a better start than the other guy. Might as well flip a coin.
Honestly this movie isn't worth the time, if you want to see a racing movie go out and Fast and the Furious, because there isn't really anything in the way of a good bike racing movie.
