I think you would have made a great Muppet...

This was a movie that skipped out of work early to ensure that I wouldn't miss it on opening night. Needless to say I was far from disappointed, this move is absolutely hilarious. Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Bill Nighy have become that newest force to contend with in the comedy spoof category of films. This being the take on the "Buddy Cop" genre of action movies, is well scripted and the physical comedy is simply amazing.
Pegg and Frost's on screen relationship is so well developed, and they make it all seem so effortless, that I wonder how much acting they really do? They obviously were having a blast, which lends itself to the film. Everything was perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. I mean I was actually laughing part of the time at nothing more than the timing of scene cuts. But they were brilliant cuts!
The brilliant thing about this movie is not that they spoof the American action cop movie so well, but that they obviously researched and dug deep into the most minute details of this formats formula to come up with a story that is not only funny, but really has a sharp wit about it.
Now that its on DVD I am going to watch it a lot more often. What a great film!
