Wanted (2008)

Matrix Reloaded...

A little bit similar with the theme of The Matrix but fortunately Wanted holds up its own with its unpredictability and diversified style of filming. The direction is probably the most important factor that made this film stand out. I almost dislike it halfway through but then as soon as I'm about to roll my eyes up in disappointment things took an unexpected 180 degree turn. Not everything is what it seems to be, which I almost went for. I really thought that after being wowed during the first twenty minutes I was going to be immensely bored after things began to slow down. And seeing a very a familiar hero’ish type of movie is pretty much been there done that countless of times, I was pleased to assessed that this movie did not take that road and did just the opposite. It takes a plot and twist it so many times you never could guess what would happen next. And that is exactly what a potential summer blockbuster should be made off. James McAvoy as this young office push over turns his life upside down when he met the people who are going to open his eyes to a reality he never knew existed. I personally did not like him that much to begin with but when he starts killing, I start liking. Mrs. Pitt also did her part with conviction plus I knew she’s going to be mostly eye candy for this movie, but then again the woman is a sexy beast you can’t help but fall for her. Overall almost everything about this movie is different which is why I think it will definitely rule the charts this weekend. If you like the Matrix then you will enjoy seeing everything in slow motion. If you’re an adrenalin junkie then you’ll feel that sudden rush of excitement upon witnessing the most action packed ride you’ve ever ridden.
