I would have given it a four if it wasn't a musical. Although I must say they got me by surprise when everybody starts singing. It is by far the most tasteful musical I’ve seen. There is no better helmsman to handle a dark visually stunning musical than the visionary Tim Burton. But then in my opinion an audience who would be seeing this should have a solid appreciation for art and music. Because I myself am not a musical type of person, but seeing the whole formula blend together made me think twice. But I still hate musicals though. Johnny Depp’s versatility is worthy of an Oscar statuette. One other thing I like seeing is blood gushing through the necks of all those who deserve to die. But then all of us deserved to die, ok maybe everybody except me. Seriously I may not recommend this for everyone, only to the ones who has good taste in movies. Overall I just hope there were two versions of this film. One a musical and the other not a musical.
