This was an extremely good movie. You don't have to be familiar with the previous versions of Star Trek to enjoy this movie. Of course, if you are familiar with it, there are lots of little inside jokes and a sprinkling of well known lines. I enjoyed the way it was rebooted. The plot was solid and everything fit together so nicely. It was full of humor, action, emotions and heart. The casting was excellent. Chris Pine stepped right into the shoes of James Kirk. He showed the spirit of the character. Zachary Quinto was outstanding as Spock. He deftly showed the emotions just below the surface in Spock. Leonard Nimoy's older Spock was a welcome treat. The movie was never slow or dull. It introduced the characters in an enjoyable, fast paced way. I can't wait for the next one.
