Captain Bligh (Charles Laughton) was considered a mean-spirited captain, especially by Fletcher Christian (Clark Gable). Their war of power is documented in the Best Picture winning film, “Mutiny on the Bounty.”
Clark Gable has one character he can play, and this movie proves he can’t do much else. The acting on the whole is nothing too exciting. It’s a very timeline-appropriate film, and definitely shows its age today.
This is a very uninteresting film with little to nothing worth commenting on. I’d like to write more, but there’s just nothing interesting to mention.
