Review - The English Patient (1996)

After Count Laszlo de Almásy (Ralph Fiennes) was severely burned in a plane crash, Hana (Juliette Binoche) came to his side to nurse him. He recalls how his fate came to be in the Best Picture winning film, "The English Patient."

Both Binoche and Naveen Andrews (as Kip) give excellent performances, and Fiennes and Kristin Scott Thomas (as Katharine Clifton) create a marvelous connection as victims of love. All of the acting in this film is wonderful really.

The make-up done for Almásy's burns is absolutely fantastic. The wounds seem real enough to feel true pain for him. There are many great visuals in the film as well. Lots of beautiful sand dunes and skies.

I feel like I'm not really doing this film justice, as it really is better than I'm letting on. I think its given score sums it up pretty well, and I highly recommend the movie to everyone.

Acting: 10/10
Writing: 8/10
Video/Editing: 10/10
Audio/Music: 8/10
Entertainment: 8/10

Final Score: 8.8/10
