The perfect comedy/Action movie. Moonlighting's star, Willis, portrays a 24/hr cop. He is the definition of a police officer, never off duty. He's a man on christmas vacation visting his children and estranged wife who live on the other side of the country. In the middle of a bathroom scene, this man becomes yet again 'the top cop.' The building that this x-mas party is at is taken over by terrorists and the black dude from 'Matlock' (and yes, i used a matlock reference in my review for 'twelve angry men'). One by one, and sometimes two by two, McClaine (willis a.k.a Cowboy) takes down the terrorists and has time to crack a few jokes. He befrieds a local P.D., who hasn't used his fire arm since he accidentally shoots a little boy for holding a toy gun, is reporting to the scene for a 911 call that was made. This local P.D. (who played an officer in two different television shows, really do i have to name them, no, o.k. good. lets proceed) is his eyes and ears on the outside, and McClaine is the only cop that could get into this very secured building. the guy who raided Barry Manilow's closet in the Breakfast Club plays the top local cop who just wants McClaine to sit down and let them do their job. With out giving the end result away, ah who cares, McClaine winds up kicking ass and throwing the lead terrorist to his fatal fall down, what like 80 flights. Well, they all get out alive, except for the guy who plays Jim Belushi's boss in Mr. Destiny and the Jap. Boss. We think it is now time for the happy ending, when one more terrorist, assumed to be dead, shows up with a very big gun. McClaine covers his estranged wife for protection and we hear a gun go off. No, it is not the terrorist, but that local P.D. who hasn't fired his service weapon in a very long time. McClaines limo escapes the locked underground garage and comes in view. The local P.D. aims his gun at the oncoming limo, and McClaine says--It's o.k. this guys with me. And some where along the line of the movie, no one really cares, but McClaine and his estranged wife get back together....oh how sweet.......BOOM!
