This film is worth watching for Tommy Lee Jones, who plays a father who's son in the Army is reported AWOL then found dead. Jones, a retired seargent himself, implants himself into the investigation, led by Charlize Theron, to figure out what happened. It's interesting to find out what eventually happens, though at times the fact that Jones is the only one who can figure anything out gets a little predictable. Susan Sarandon, in a small, understated role as the mother provides an emotional punch to the few scenes she's in. I could have done without the political statement about our country in the last shot, but other than that it's pretty good.
