Marley & Me is a instant classic. Director David Frankel outdoes himself. Owen Wilson shows that he is one truly great actor with his performance in this movie. This is real life stuff acted out so naturally on the big screen. Owen Wilson and Jeniffer Aniston start a life together. They both decide to take baby steps, and instead of bringing a baby into the relationship before they both have their priorities straight, they decide to take on the responsibility of caring for a dog; first. From the beginning this movie captures your heart and keeps you on your toes with what might happen next. This movie depicts what a pet truly can mean to your life throughout the years it shares with you and your family. Marley shows just how important and intertwined a pet becomes to the family core. I actually felt like I was living through a lot of scenes in this movie because I have had pets I have loved with all my heart and I could really relate to those feelings through the way this movie was so naturally directed and acted out.
Marley and Me holds nothing back. There are a few scenes where I do not think they focused enough on Marley, but that is me nitpicking. Overall this movie is a must see for the entire family. I must warn you though bring plenty of kleenex because you will undoubtably need it. I would like to commend all the actors and director of Marley & Me. This movie will be one of the elite few I will purchase as soon as it becomes available on DVD. A+++++++++++++++++++++
