What makes "Auto Focus" so compelling, other than Greg Kinnear's excellent portrayal of Bob Crane, is that it's really two movies at once. It's a juicy and often funny insider dramedy about show biz but also an unsettling character study about human vice, with the subject's actions in the latter jeopardizing his success in the former.
