Everest (2015)

The most dangerous mountain in the world

Everest does not push any new boundaries when it comes to these types of movies. The story starts out pretty slow and the pacing is not very balanced. At one moment you'll be in a village in Nepal talking about how they're going to climb the mountain, then literally the very next scene, they'll be halfway through. Suffice to say, nothing really happens in the movie until they actually reach the top. Before that, the emotional moments are very quick and they felt unimportant to the storyline. However, when disaster strikes in the mountain, that's where I felt like the movie became very exciting. With intense and good music, impressive visual effects, and high tension, I would recommend watching this movie just for the second half. Before that, it's not very exciting, but the intense second half is done right. But overall, it was a good movie.
