Jake Gyllenhaal must be given full credit for any business that this movie would do. He has again proved that an actor has the ability to divert attention of the audiences to only acting and make them forget all other elements of the movie they are watching.

Southpaw is an Actorís movie there is nothing else in the movie. Jake has not only got the correct physique for this movie but has also outstandingly enacted the mannerisms of a boxer. He has played the role of a father with such a finesse that you cry for him, you pray for him to get his daughter back.

The story is old and we have seen it multiple times. The arrogant boxing players, losing everything and the getting it back again, we have watched it multiple times earlier.
