Roger Moore plays a heroic engineer pitted against a corrupt gold mining syndicate in this adaptation of Wilbur Smith's novel. It plays out like an airport novel with dashing heroes, slimy villains, an exotic setting, and perilous situations. But it's a pleasant diversion.
