'The Rapture' Never Looked More Fun

There's been almost no funny 'comedies' so far in the year of 2013. But FINALLY, we have one that soars to hilarious new heights! This film brings the laughs... continuous hard laughs. To say this movie is funny is a severe understatement. Here we have six comic stars (and others) playing fictional versions of their on-screen personas, each riffing on themselves and each other. This 'meta' aspect is not the center of the film, however. This story is really about male friendship and group survival in the wake of an apocalypse of biblical proportions. Yes, things do get biblical. Major destruction, including a variety of demonic monsters and even possession, are present. There are scenes of peril and morality comes to play a big part in the proceedings. But don't worry, all of this is done in the sake of comedy. The movie is still the stilly raunch-fest that you'd hoped it would be. There's just more at stake. 'This is the End' is a fun laugh-riot.
