Epic war masterpiece

The is one of the best accounts of the uglyness of war in all its forms. From the brilliant portrayal of the sadistic drill sergeant by
R. Lee Ermey to the equally brillirant protrayal of the washout cadet by Vincent D'Onofrio it is clear that this is a masterpiece. The first part is very different from the second and breathers a very different atmosphere as well. Kubric first shows us the horrors of bootcamp in the first part, while showing us the dangers of sniper fire, prostitutes and boredom in the second. This is a film anyone should have seen at least once!
