Bulletproof Monk

"How do you like my armor plated car Kar?"

It's not about anger - it's about peace.

The story concerns a magical scroll which holds the key to eternal youth and ultimate power. It is protected by a Buddhist monk, played by Chow Yun Fat. The movie flashes forward 60 years to New York City later where Chow is still fleeing a nasty old Nazi and his bitch granddaughter Nina.

The mysterious Monk with no Name loses the scroll to a street pickpocket with a Heart of Gold – Kar (Seann William Scott). He trails Kar to a warehouse where he gets into a fight and while distracted the monk steals back the scroll. However he senses there is something about Kar and stays with him to see if the prophecy proves Kar to be the new scroll keeper.

Of course, the kid wants no part of his destiny but becomes the pupil, not by choice, of the monk and learns that he holds the ability within himself to being as great as the monk in protecting the scroll for the next 60 years. Adding Jaime King as the sexy Russian mob princess called Bad Girl into the mix seems superfluous but then I realized she was merely a bone tossed to either the girl-power female crowd or the horny male audience. And there is a brief cat fight between her and the Queen Bitch Granddaughter. Silly but fun watch none the less.
