Dunston Checks In

Not for the discerning!

A little boy who lives in a luxurious hotel has no friends and lives a lonely life with his father Robert Grant (Jason Alexander’s "Seinfeld" who is the manager of The Majestic, a large five-star hotel) and brother until a lovable orangutan walks in one day and becomes his new best buddy.

Grant is overworked and wants to take his two boys, on a vacation, but when the owner (Faye Dunnaway) hears that her hotel is being considered for a six star rating, it falls on Grant to ensure that everything is perfect when the rating staff arrives. It's fun to see Faye Dunaway in a comic role. Paul Reubens (Pee-wee Herman) is the crazed animal control official while Rupert Everett plays the snobbish and villainous Lord Rutledge intend on stealing the guests' jewelry. Monkey mayhem ensues and there’s enough slapstick to keep the kiddies happy.
