Sucker Punch

Reality vs. fantasy!

A young girl (Emily Browning as Babydoll) is institutionalized in an asylum by her abusive step father after her mother's death. Once inside the asylum her imagination fortifies a paranormal world and imagines it a high class brothel, so she doesn't have to deal with the pain of being in a psycho prison. Within this realm she develops a plan to escape, along with new friends Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens), Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish), Rocket (Jena Malone) and my Amber (Jamie Chung).

Sucker Punch was an amazingly visual experience with stunning slow-motion action scenes and a pulsating background score so if you're into visual effects and beautiful girls in short skirts and fishnet stockings this is the film to see. But whilst the action is spectacular the overall tone is quite bleak so don't expect too much of it. Scott Glenn, an actor I've admired in the past, is pretty much wasted here.
