Interesting but really not that scary

Necromicon: Book of the dead introduces us to H.P. Lovecraft as he have tracked down the Necronomicon in a monestary guarded by strange monks. As he copies the stories, you get to see them.

The first story is about a man that inherit an old hotel 60 years after his uncles death, he find a book where his uncle describes how he tries to bring his dead family back to life.
The second story is about a reporter that is tracking a serial killer and interviews a young woman he suspects knows more about the killings that she is leading on, and force her to tell her tale.
The third story is about a police woman that get's in an accident after chasing a suspect. Before she manages to come too, her partner is dragged into an old factory, and as the police radio fails she is forced to follow.

Now each segment is directed by different people, and the actor presentation varies greatly, some decent some really bad. The stories and this movie for that matter could have been great, but it comes out as average. As Lovecraft wrote seriously creepy stories, I assume that fans would recognize these stories and most likely not be happy with them. What I didn't like about this movie was that when it was trying to be scary it just ended up beeing riddiculous.

As a conclution I gotta say that I actually enjoyed watching the movie, but it could have been done alot better.
