This movie stinks, its a bad zombie movie and a terrible action movie, with dumb over the top sequences. It is just not good, I did not enjoy it at all. This is an unfaithful adaptation of the games, and is just foolish an ill conceived. I did not enjoy a single scene in this movie, and the attempts at faithfulness such as very dumb costumes are just foolish. |

They keep jumping around with the plot. Some stuff never made since they gave foreshadowing that didn't lead up to anything. Usually i am a good fan of the resident evil series but this movie was a disaster.Unless you like to watch stuff blow up, and people get killed for no reason what so ever This movie is for you! |

I liked this sequel a little more than the first. There are even more moments from the game and the whole movie is just loud, dumb and mildly fun. |

Although not as good as the first Resident Evil, this sequel gives game fans a treat with the introduction of Nemesis as well as Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliviera. The story is adequate if not that deep. Good mindless fun. |

Now this one is a sod to score, for the following reason: The cons: 1. There is not ONE original idea on display here. It rips off not only every zombie film out there, but also Alien Resurrection, The Matrix, The Terminator, and even Scanners. 2. The director has NO idea how to pace a story. There is no build up, no suspense, and precious little context for the characters and their motives (this is particularly true of the completely wasted Nemesis.) 3. The last 20 minutes of the film are absolutely nonsensical; it feels like there is a huge chunk of the film missing! And worse, it feels suspiciously like a feeble tacked on excuse to introduce yet another sequel. The pros: 1. You get to see beautiful women kick zombie ass in some impressively staged set pieces. 2. The nightmare isn't over, The Hive to be reopened, and in doing so contaminated all of Raccoon City by letting all the condemned scientist trapped in the Hive free, now a city of the dead, with Alice stuck right in the middle.
Along with other survivors, Jill Valentine, Carlos Oliviera and his Captain, Nicholai, they must fight to survive, to escape the nightmare that has plagued Raccoon City. But now there is a new threat: Matt Addison last seen in resident Evil 1 who began to change at the end has now fully mutated into a seemingly unstoppable creature, code named Nemesis, who will stop at nothing until everything around it is dead, but it also has another agenda.
Plenty of action on the way with Alice in the church on her bike armed to the teeth to destroy what is in the church ... |
