A lot of people complained that the religious angle ruined the film, but I found it pretty good for the most part. It doesn't start to get too bad until the last third, but for the most part I'd say it's worth it to sit through once.

There were many moments when she made me believe in her character, regardless of what was happening in her character's world. The plagues are interesting to watch, most noteworthy is the river of blood. Other than that, the film showed amateur, bad indie horror film streotypes that made me roll my eyes. The story was involving at times but not as often as it should have been. With a little bit more focus, a little bit more suspenseful sequences, this movie could've been so much more. It did not reach commercial success because it lacked suspense, in my opinion. Still, Hilary Swank helped this film to not be a total wreck. It's not as bad as critics made it sound to be but it's definitely not a solid endeav...
