I mean, for a movie featuring animals it's okay, but there are a lot better ways to enjoy your four-legged friends on film. Still, for the younger set, it might not be a bad choice. I prefer Milo & Otis or even Babe over this.

It's impressive that this film relies on strong characters and writing to tell an entertaining and moving story, when a similar "talking animal" film made today would just pour a bunch of money into CGI critters (see: Garfield, Cats & Dogs)
