This is not horror! this is drama! I really have no problem with killing some over enthousiastic christian or other relligious person (in movies I mean!!!). But this movie .... I have no idea what the deeper thoughts were of the director / producer, is there a deeper meaning? First I get drowned in Christian pulp, come on people! this is a horror, not a church commercial! second we travel to Schotland, the land of the hedens! no one believes in God and they MUST be saved!I might come to no surprise, the good christian couple dies and the non-beleivers live happily ever after.....

This is neither a sequel, nor a remake of 'The Wicker Man'. It's just a different take on the same ideas. Both stories do share many similarities, but this film presents a different vibe. It has less of the horror elements and there's more scenes of intentional comedy. Still, those who like the original 'Wicker Man' will find this interesting.
