One of the strangest movies I've seen so far. Pauline, is such an extreme and honest character that it's difficult to say whether she seems more human or more inhuman. A third of this movie is painted in blood so it isn't for the faint of heart, but the film has an eerie way of sucking you into it, wanting to find out more about this girl and her life and what it is she's trying to do, even if you sometimes have to watch the screen through the palms of your hands.

Suburban horror/black comedy that shares some similarities to the film 'May'. The socially strange main character is both off-putting and devilishly funny. The disturbing nature, while subtle and creeping at first, builds to an almost tense abrupt ending. I found the whole film to be weirdly entertaining.

If you enjoyed MAY, the 2002 Lucky McKee psychothriller, EXCISION is exactly the film for you. Also about a painfully a-social young woman and her gradual descent into madness, it's a slow-moving, character-driven story made all the more disturbing by the fact that the audience can plainly see what's coming but is powerless to stop it. Interspersed with artistic, surreal scenes of surgery and necrophilia, it's the kind of quirky, weird film you'll either love or hate. Either way, EXCISION is worth giving a chance if only for how refreshingly different it is. 3.5/4

It's the small things that make this "Excision" a very good movie. I'll let you find out. I just want to highlight AnnaLynne McCord's performance. She is incredible playing with sex and death. You must see it!
